showreel 2012, rough



a rough WIP version of my reel as it is coming along. Some shots still need some touching up. But this is what I am considering should be in it.

    Hey Stine, glad to have found your site! You've got some impressive work here. Not sure how open you are to feedback from strange people dropping in out of nowhere but... for what it's worth, here are a few thoughts:

    I'd open with the second sequence and save that first one for (perhaps) the second from the last. I'm not getting sound for the first half so the dialogue might change this. The thought is that (in a way) this is you... leading off the demoreel and its a nicely polished shot that starts on a high note.

    I think the parkour shot would work well right after the hyena crossing the road as (in a way) it continues/echos the rhythm from right to left. So you get... sequence to the left... sequence to the left... last sequence.

    I've got more if'n you want it but that's my first impression.

    Great work all around, now optimize that presentation! :)

      Thanks a lot! I know I have to think about in which order I put the shots, but just haven't thought of it yet. But Thanks for the suggestion! I'll keep that in mind!
      I don't want to end my reel with the pig either. It seems a weak thing to end it all with. At the moment I am just collecting my best shots and figuring out how much polish I have to do, which shots I need to do (a run and a walk, as I will probably be looking for internships mainly in VFX), and if I should put lights in and render my scenes.

      It is great to get some feedback!
